Based on data of the prevalence of drug abuse in Indonesia has reached 1.99% of the total population, or about 3.6 million people. Eighty-six percent of drug abusers are in the productive age. Criteria resident (addicts) to undergo rehabilitation in UPT Therapy and Rehabilitation BNN:

1. Candidates resident is an active drug user with a user last less than 12 months. If the latter consumes more drugs than 3 months, must attach a medical certificate stating that the person concerned is a drug user.
2. Aged 15-40 years. If less than 15 years old and had just undergone detoxification and entry unit.
3. Not being pregnant (the resident female candidates)
4. Not suffering from physical illnesses (diabetes, stroke, heart disease) or psychological chronic (which can interfere with the implementation of the program)
5. Candidates resident comes accompanied by a parent / guardian
6. For the resident who undergo rehabilitation because of a court decision, must attach a copy of the judgment.
7. Candidates resident who undergo rehabilitation because, based on the Supreme Court Circular (SEMA) No. 4 of 2010, must be accompanied by a court.
Rehabilitation provisions:
1. The period of coaching resident for 6 (six) months include detoxification, entry unit, primary, and re-entry.
2. During the period of detoxification and entry unit, the resident can not be visited by the family.
3. Residents can only be visited upon entering primary phase and re-entry
4. If the resident escaped from a rehabilitation center and returned to the family, then the family shall inform the UPT T & R BNN and drove back to continue the rehabilitation process.
